Here’s some more dev candy. After loading Soldat PMS maps to the Crimson engine I decided to test how it plays. I love doing fun stuff like this so I made a video showing the character and hydroplane from Crimson Glory inside a Soldat map.
(don’t mind the sprite glitches, I fixed the polygon flickering at least since last time)
As you see all this is physics driven, much more advanced stuff than Soldat. Imagine the possibilities in this new game. Adding new vehicles will just be a matter of drawing the thing in a paint program and writing a proper script to describe what it is (jeep, helicopter, robot, catapult, bunny…). Testing will also be that easy, because of the in-game editor. So everybody can stop nagging me about vehicalz after this is out, cause you can make the goddamn thing yourself!

Hope you add scripted entities to the map format aswell. So you can add points that do special stuff.

That looks like it was ripped right out of a game called Altitude i used to play. I agree, though, Airplanes whould be sick.
The characters will look nothing like this. As I wrote I will present you with my new animation and sprite system in the near future, it will look incredible I promise.
