Only about 2% have 512 MB of ram or less installed. This issue becomes evermore irrelevant as computers get substantially faster every year. I&#039;d say you&#039;d be easily safe hitting that, especially since there will be a gap of development time before your game is released.]]></description>

its ok to eat a bit more of memory.. almost everyone today have atlast 512mb of ram..(its enought, right? :P )

you can jsut keep working on another thing then, all of sudden, an idea about how to do what you want will appear! :P

About the map, I know this is probably not even the way it works, cuz i have no ideea what a specular map is, but maybe u can make your map objects in different colors, every color responding either to the lighting or to the collisions
