Oh yeah, I was hoping the feeling of the old Prince of Persia would eventually find its way in here. Especially the acceleration/deceleration are hopefully going to take the user-skill improvement to a new level.
Oh, I still have my old question that wasn’t completely answered (at least not that I know): To what extent are walls and such going to be destroyable? Please say “to any extent you wish to do so” ๐
I haven’t figured out how to make bots yet with a completely destroyable terrain.
It shouldn’t be hard for someone like you. You already have the waypoint generation algorithms, now just make them re-update when there is a hole big enough.
The bots use simulation-based predictions for finding walkable paths. It’s not fast enough to update real-time. I would have to use hacks, but then the bots wouldn’t be perfect.
I dont see how the first one could possibly be relevant to robots and metallic objects, so i’m going to assume it’s to do with gore and blood splatter ๐
Or heck, you could only allow terrain-deformation in human-players-only games. At least until you figure it out. I’d still appreciate it!
Only update the section where the explosion was, when it goes off. Or only-human games atleast.
Prince of Persia is definitely one of the best movies this year.~-:
