Defining Awesome — Rambo IV

There is a problem with today’s culture, do you see it?

We are no longer the target of mass culture and entertainment. Feminism has secretly destroyed what is most precious to us and what has real meaning. It was secretly destroyed, that’s why you have to learn to see it. It will be good if you remember how things were, in the 20th century, it will help (I feel so old writing this haha).

There is not enough manliness. And it’s fucking awful.

I’m going to head in a new direction with this blog to show the world that we once had and show how it is escaping from us. It will be gone before we turn our heads to realize what happened.

    18832611_w434_h_q80.jpg

There is only one hope. In individuals who lead us. Let Odin bless Sylvester Stallone and what he gives us – a new Rambo movie this season! First Rocky now Rambo? We are not worthy!!!

Don’t say Sly is too old for this. If you think like that you’re a pussy that’s all and you’ll still be one when you get old. Real men the older they get the better and more manly they become. It’s only women that degrade with age. We have the privilege to become stronger everyday until the day we die.

You may say it is not your business. But do you really want to live in a world where you don’t have a source of good entertainment, a world without male role models and manliness? I don’t think you really do.

I know I’m promoting here a hollywood movie, but before you label me as a puppet, let me say this. I believe we are cultural creatures. We can’t live with out it, it’s like air to us. Hollywood is something we need as species to survive. And because it is a necessity, I would be glad to have at least a choice of what it is. I’m fine with Hollywood’s existence as long as it makes movies for me to watch! So if this movie is going to reach the box office, maybe it will tickle some of the old Hollywood producers hearts (and wallets) and they’ll see that there still is money to be made out of men!

I know we don’t spend nearly as much time shopping and watching TV as women. We won’t ever be nearly as good consumers as them. But we want entertainment in the same way, we are people too.

Hollywood, we men have money too!

I know this is a worthless cry. The machine is already in motion. The best thing we can do is save those old Rambo DVDs and hope they don’t ban them in the future. Who knows.

Anyway let’s get back to games, this is not just about movies.

You might know that I generally hate the mainstream games, but maybe you don’t know that I equally hate or maybe even more the indie games sector. The reason is that there is rarely a good game made by an independent game company or lonely developer. A good indie game is more rare than a good AAA title.

I have an emotional agenda here because it is not that hard to produce something of value, you just have to make games from the heart not from your ass. People want to play a good game and have fun, they don’t really care about anything else. They don’t care about prerendered intros, splash screens, old technology with new cool sounding names and fancy DVD boxes. This is one of the reasons I’m having this blog, I want to communicate that there are different ways of thinking, of seeing the world and doing things. You don’t have to follow any set of rules, rigid laws or make games according to peoples expectations – just follow what you think is best for you.

Especially in a feminized culture which opposes to whatever it is we want to be doing. Not caring about what other people think and following your own heart, is one of the manliest things you can ever do. Again, thanks Sly for still being there for us and showing the way.

    1. Dam right Michal, I didn’t know europe was under the same feminist umbrella we are in the US.
In the U.S. if you look at when most laws were written regarding drugs, fighting and such they all were immediatly after women here got the vote power. So now politicians have to cater to womens’ “protect my baby” obsession and turn the world into a safety zone with padded helmets.

I hate to say it too, but I have never met a woman that knew what the fuck was going on in politics either. They should not be allowed to vote, then men can retake our rightful power.

    2. Haha yeah! :)
It’s still not that bad here as it is in the US, but we are slowly gravitating to that model. Europe seems to be attracted to America but it’s fucken wrong. It should look back at itself, look at history like the Viking culture, that’s manly!!

    3. vikings are so cute ♥

    4. Well I doubt that solely aggresivness can solve all of our problems, but I think a culture like the Romans had it is perfect fit for both men and women, since they all know their roles. And heck, if there was a smart women, then she could influence her husband into doing things another way. Just not fucking interrupt with politics directly, thats ruining our image and everything.

Because of women there are safetly labels on every piece of shit that you could trip on. Every idiot around is warned and prevented of chocking his own tongue. How about we take the safetly labels off of things and let the problem solve itself?

    5. I do enjoy your site, but pretty please increase the size of the font so it becomes more readable. I know you don’t listen to negative people. But how can I be positive when your font choosing sucks? 😉

      }

My dad and I really like Rambo din’t see all of them though…

    7. Are you a gay man Michal?
That’s a serious question by the way.

I understand completely about this stuff. You should come to the UK (enough polish people do) and see how we get it. It’s fucking terrible. What happened to people just being a little bit cautious? The fact is the more you tell people to not do something the more they will not care. It will become normal for them to hear that and they just don’t take notice, unless physical abuse is used. Which is why when your parents used to tell you off when you were young they would hit you firmly enough so that you would remember what would happen if you tried to do it again.

      Example :
      http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=66c_1199576509
Note the big sign at the right of the video.

Take this as you will – personally I laughed my head off at the sheer stupidity of the guy. This is a prime example of the ‘Nanny culture’ that the world is turning into.

    8. Oh yeah and thanks for the uncensored trailer LOL!

    9. MrKent: yeah ctrl + scroll. If more people nag me about it maybe I’ll change it.

      teh_ham:
Are you a gay man Michal?
No. Notice that labelling manliness as gay is also a product of feminism. It is a way to ridicule masculinity.

Take this as you will – personally I laughed my head off at the sheer stupidity of the guy. This is a prime example of the ‘Nanny culture’ that the world is turning into.
Another example why thinking too much is bad for you :D.

LOL – I watched the trailer again. Look at the kid being thrown into the fire. How awesome is that!? Can’t wait to watch this.

    10. What has happened to our generation that it takes someone from the old school of film to show us how an action movie is made?! GO STALLONE bring back the glory days!

    11. Brokenbroll

“ook at history like the Viking culture, that’s manly!!”

Launching raids against small unprotected villages, and then running like thieves in the night when an armed response came their way is manly?

Do you have a crooked nose from boxing or cauliflower ears from wrestling? If not, how can you consider yourself manly? Makng violent games, watching action flicks and thinking about anal rape don’t make you manly, You either are or you aren’t. Chances are, if you have to think about it or talk about it, you aren’t.

You think a real tough as nails fighter, hunter, farmer, etc. gives two shits about whether movies are manly or not, or what the society thinks of him? Fuck no, he’s secure.

    12. bigbossSNK

“We men have the privilege to become stronger everyday until the day we die”
That’s just medically wrong. Your muscles degrade with age, and your bones get brittle. You can slow down this process, but certainly not reverse it. (Eventually, though, science will find out how to reverse the aging process)

“Do you really want to live in a world without male role models and manliness?”
Role models are crutches for little children. Real men don’t need crutches. They get the job done.

“The best thing we can do is save those old Rambo DVDs and hope they don’t ban them in the future”
Banning ideas stopped after the McCarthy committee. The world is headed toward freedom, not the other way.

    13. Men and Woman should have equal rights. Its not for good for men, but good for human culture.

    14. No. Notice that labelling manliness as gay is also a product of feminism. It is a way to ridicule masculinity.

Not at all. Back before feminism if a man was called gay it was a sign that another man thought he did something that an alpha male wouldn’t do.

It’s a shame we have to use the internet to communicate our questions because things can be interpreted incorrectly – you probably took the “Are you gay?” question as a threat to your masculinity and bit back at me by saying I’m labelling you. I only asked if you were gay because you seemed to promote men and degrade women. It was just a question, not an insult or threat.

    15. “No. Notice that labelling manliness as gay is also a product of feminism. It is a way to ridicule masculinity.”

I thought that he was talking about all the butt-raping in Berserker.

Personally, I think that Rambo isn’t exactly the best “role model”. All that he really does is go around blowing things up. Not that it matters, since I don’t think that people see movie characters as role models anyway.

Oh, and your statement that “only women degrade with age” is biologically incorrect. Go to a nursing home and half of the residents are men.

Speaking of women, did you hear about Hillary Clinton’s “emotional breakdown”? Basically, she lost to Obama in Iowa, and was so “depressed” by her political failure that she crocodile-cried in a restaurant. The next day, she won in New Hampshire because the women voters changed their minds about her after seeing her crying on TV. Saddening, isn’t it?

    16. I DEMAND that there is a bow in Link-Dead =D

    17. Happybirdie

So if I get you right, “manliness” all about blowing stuff up, having a body like a gorilla on steroids, and shouting “uhuh I dont give a damn!”

You are right about one thing: we ARE in an extreme sense cultural creatures. We are also biological creatures. I suppose that your idea of “manliness” is based on us being biological creatures, while other concepts of manliness, like that of gentlemen, are based on us being mainly cultural creatures.

Now personally, I kind of like the culture which we have accumulated over the past millennia. Whereas you and some of your followers here seem to feel a strong desire to do away with all this *cough* feminine cultured stuff and go back to being “real” biological men, dragging “real” women around by their hair and shouting “HAR HAR!”. At least, that is what I picture it to be.

“Not caring about what other people think and following your own heart, is one of the manliest things you can ever do.” Very romantic that. And very biological. How about bringing the brain into that equation? Knowing and being in contact with your heart is a good thing. But the heart needs to be tempered by the brain, in a balance of powers. Real men (and women) have a balance between heart and brain. Brainless men are just stuped violent cavemen, heartless men are as creepy as Eichmann.

Balance is the key, not “manliness” or “feminism”.

p.s. you got an unmanly nice blog 😉

    18. teh_ham: It’s a shame we have to use the internet to communicate our questions because things can be interpreted incorrectly – you probably took the “Are you gay?” question as a threat to your masculinity and bit back at me by saying I’m labelling you. No, I didn’t take it seriously. I’m not here to degrade women, if so I do it unintentionally or for pure effect, not that I really mean it. I’m here only to promote masculinity.

Happybirdie : Now personally, I kind of like the culture which we have accumulated over the past millennia. I don’t believe real men dragged women by their hair in the old days. There is no evidence to support that. I don’t think being a gentleman is a cultural thing. It comes naturally if you take the role of a leader. A good leader is “gentle” to his people.

“Not caring about what other people think and following your own heart, is one of the manliest things you can ever do.” Very romantic that. And very biological. How about bringing the brain into that equation? But the heart needs to be tempered by the brain, in a balance of powers

I think the brain needs to be tempered by the heart. The brain is the source of ego, materialism, domination and other evil stuff. Maybe you don’t know what your heart is. It is not some kind of biological rage.

p.s. you got an unmanly nice blog
      Thanks:)

Take That Nasty Small Fonts! THIRD :)

    22. So I’m the first one who wants the small fonts to stay.
      Small fonts rox.
      White power!

    23. So right on brother!

What the F have those feminists done to us? In Ancient Rome and Greece we knew what to do with them. Trust me, I’m a European, I know!

I love the thought of that hot molten gun of Rambo’s. We all know where it’s going! Msg me brother, I’m on MSM. You know the name. If you’re in Munchen we can slip and slide our hot bullets around, without any of those dam feminists (or anything of the female persuation!)

      MEN RIGHTS, IN TIGHT!

    24. If you’re in Munchen we can slip and slide our hot bullets around, without any of those dam feminists (or anything of the female persuation!)

      ROFL.

“Msg me brother, I’m on MSM.”
      Don’t you mean “into S&M”? 😛

    26. boom boom! BOOM!!! i love it & soldat 😛 (ofcorse link-dead too :P)

    27. Rocky, and Rambo are both mind numbing. Its from blocking punches with his face and finding guns on the ground and RPG’s every few minutes.

No content, and even less plot.

      Horrible movies.

    28. This post seems really sarcastic, to me. Maybe I’m biased, since I’m a bit feminine as far as males go.

But from your generalized comments about women (Which is actually justified with most of America, after some thought) to your whole “NEED TESTOSTERONE AND MANLINESS” thing, it just doesn’t really seem like something an intelligent being would say.

    29. No content, and even less plot.
      Plot is for pussies.

it just doesn’t really seem like something an intelligent being would say.
      Who said I’m intelligent? 😉

If you’re in Munchen we can slip and slide our hot bullets around, without any of those dam feminists (or anything of the female persuation!)
Right on! Maybe I’ll drop by when I’m there.

    30. I like the small font, don’t change it.

Damn web2.0 and his oversized fonts.

    31. Plot is for pussies.
Films are good if they make you feel good.

If you’re in Munchen we can slip and slide our hot bullets around, without any of those dam feminists (or anything of the female persuation!)
Right on! Maybe I’ll drop by when I’m there.

      ROFL X2

    32. i played soldat for some hours and pwned it. Do you call it masculine? 😉

    33. i played soldat for some hours and pwned it. Do you call it masculine?
Of course. Even having Soldat on your hard disk will make you produce more testosterone.

    34. Actually I can’t agree more. That’s also why I can’t wait for Duke Nukem Forever to finally show up and be released!!!

Screw plots, real action heroes don’t need complex plots. All they need is bigs guns, things to blow up, a cigar and a bunch of kick-ass one-liners!!!!!

This works for movies to, just think of the guy that said “I’ll be back.”

    35. ” [ Plot is for pussies. ]
Films are good if they make you feel good.”

Who ever said that a good pussy at times won’t make you feel (extremely) good? 😉 Seriously though sex and / or good looking chicks are a crucial part of it too, hence the come-back of the female strippers in Duke Nukem Forever!!

    36. You’ve hit the nail on the head.
It’s the same with everything, Take advertisements for example, Say you’ve got a picture of a woman holding up a bottle of say, beer. Now take a layer of clothes off, People jump out of their shoes and immediately try and ban it because it’s objectifying women, But then portray the same add but with a male and suddenly it’s funny and the whole world’s laughing. Fuck no.
As soon as you stood up for the “I demand equal rights” shit the fact that you’ve got boobs soared out of the fucking window.
Give up my seat on a bus for a perfectly capable women, fuck no, I got here first, Sod off.

And then you’ve got the whole equal rights shit all over again.
I’m a woman so i can get away with more crap then you can because i’m pretty and i’ve got breasts. So, i don’t see fat men get away with anything and they’ve got breasts.

The world needs to put the women in their place, i wouldn’t go as far as telling them to get back in the kitchen and bake me a pie, but maybe to get there self adsorbed asses out of where they shouldn’t be would be a good start.

    37. It’s the same with everything, Take advertisements for example,
Yeah I’m also seeing a pattern whenever I see a commercial. There is always a submissive husband or boyfriend in them and they get into trouble because they want to drink beer/watch sports etc. The female is always dominant in these commercial. They are supposed to be funny, but they are not, because picture the reverse situation and suddenly we have feminists raising their angry voices and complaining.

The world needs to put the women in their place, i wouldn’t go as far as telling them to get back in the kitchen and bake me a pie, but maybe to get there self adsorbed asses out of where they shouldn’t be would be a good start.
It would be enough if we gave them real equal rights and equal DUTIES. If they were forced to go to the army, if they were forced to give child support, forced to do high risk jobs or construction working and all the other things that the law makes men do, women would quickly become scared of that world and beg to return to the kitchen and just bake some pie. With no drinking of course.

    38. however, one must not focus too much on the alpha-male archetype, for it will turn you into a homosexual :\

    39. Lord Baron Oslo William Nightengale III

“It’s the same with everything, Take advertisements for example, Say you’ve got a picture of a woman holding up a bottle of say, beer. Now take a layer of clothes off, People jump out of their shoes and immediately try and ban it because it’s objectifying women”

Do you watch television, or are you basing this on some kind of gut feeling you have because you don’t like some commentator said once? Who are these people? When did this happen? Advertisers still use sexuality constantly to try and net an aggressively heterosexual male audience, and no these commercials are not banned. This has little to do with societal pressure and everything to do with advertisers pandering to the audience the same way they do with the neutered (or should I say spayed) feminist overtones of those other ads that you mentioned. The ones with the lame gender reversals? Yes, it would have been quaint a few decades ago.

“Yeah I’m also seeing a pattern whenever I see a commercial. There is always a submissive husband or boyfriend in them and they get into trouble because they want to drink beer/watch sports etc”
No, this is because the ads are targeted to what they think women want to see (and apparently many do). The same way it is required to have an attractive young woman at least VISIBLE in ads for razors, beer, deodorant, etc. It’s to attach desirable qualities to their product. They do that because it’s what they think YOU (male, 18-34) want to see. You should be cautious forming massive generalizations based on these people’s market-research and demographics.

You don’t have the right to try and put anyone “in their place” especially not based on these vague largely invented generalizations. It smacks of insecurity that you’re worried about some shadowy female threat coming to take your toys away.

“If they were forced to go to the army, if they were forced to give child support, forced to do high risk jobs or construction working and all the other things that the law makes men do”
We don’t have conscription or forced labor in my country. Men tend to go into construction and a lot of other really hard jobs that women don’t and there’s a lot of cultural reasons for this. but here’s a lot of men in retail and menial office jobs too. You aren’t working in the coal mines are you?

    40. Hello! I know this is kinda off topic but I’d figured I’d ask. Would you be interested in exchanging links or maybe guest writing a blog post or vice-versa? My site addresses a lot of the same subjects as yours and I think we could greatly benefit from each other. If you’re interested feel free to shoot me an e-mail. I look forward to hearing from you! Wonderful blog by the way!
