Job is going really good. The sleepy crisis is over and I’ve done a ton of work. Maps are now made in a Paint program:

This is one of the things i’m looking forward to most! good to see it working mighty fine
BTW: how will you know the size of the gostek relevant to the pixels? if i’m making a map in Paint, if a gostek is only 1×2 pixels, how could I add more detail to the map other than massive slopes and/or boxes?
Great work.
HT|: one pixel is 1 tile. There can’t be more details. Right now 1 tile is 32x32px. But in the final game will have finer detail: One tile will be 8×8 pixels; gostek about 72px height.
this is great. anyone will be able to make a map!
Since when did Soldat lack of maps?
mmm, is it hard to implant a drag and drop function with the tiles? make a grid of some kind? i still dont really get the tile stuff >.< explaination plox!!!
It’s too hard to place one by one tile in an editor. The painted map is actually just a sketch. The game then generates a map based on that.
Oh, a fellow paint shop pro user 😉 (or isnt it?)
PSP 7. Soldat was made in it:)
