I’m back to working on animations. This is a big part. I counted 68 anims to do. cya. More dev screens are on the moddb and facebook page.

    1. Not doing procedural animation, huh? Too bad. Cortex Command does a better job of it than people give it credit for.

    2. I was thinking about procedural animations really long and hard but have not found anything satisfying. CC has simple walk animations. Overgrowth does a good job, but they have simple anims too. I’ll have 68 animations, many of them I have no idea how to simulate.

    3. Could you post the same amount of content on all of your public accounts? Don’t wanna get out of your cozy blog=)

    4. I don’t have a gallery here, so I only post here if there is a post associated.

    5. Cool. How much char. animations in soldat, for sample? :)

    6. 50 animations in soldat.

    7. this one looks interesting:

      can you post fullsize-image, pls?

    8. It’s 68 just for the first release. I guess with all the variations, different weapons and stuff there will be over 100 anims.

illu: those are bot paths testing with raycasting.

    9. So how about dynamic animations like auto-adjusting the foot contact point and angle? Or are we assuming all characters have hoverboots and can stand on thin air?

    10. i don’t know how’s the situation with the new physics code but foot placement correction was present in the old vids (newton?)and box2d ver. It didn’t look too well but it was working;)

    11. i think that within those animation also stairs and 45 and 90 degrees positions are mentioned. i havent seen any other angle yet so, i assume thats all there will be needed.

    12. Foot placement isn’t changed to previous versions. If it didnt look correct its because those were placeholder animations.
