I just have to take a second to say that the bug report implementation in LinkDead is ingenious and just perfect. Go MM!
Thanks Tenshi. It would be perfect if it had basic tagging support (fixed/not bug/acknowledged etc.) but I would have to write my own system for that.
Good article that motivates me. Maybe i would add something to it: Good games not only have something new that was not done before, they have a specifict atmosphere, a self contained story (even if its unlogical), lovely depth/detail and a intuitive and easy to handle user interface. Thats my definition of a perfect game (on a semi-somnolent state :)).
“A game should be about something, not just about other games.”.
Substitute “game” with any other form of expression, and you have a deep and profound truth.
Great interview, it’s very brief and definitely worth to be read!
1-3-2 is excellent advice.
I’d love to meet these guys in person. These guys and John Carmack.
Good article though I got a bit derailed by checking up on the other game designers.
